We are professional restorers of Corvette aluminum parts, specializing in alum manifold restorations. The first 6 pic are of this manifold the others are not. This one is a nice aluminum intake for your 1963 Corvette. Casting number 3794129 . Not scratched or beat up like most you will find. No cracks or welded ears. It doesn't have the boss drilled for vacuum, "power brakes". We can do that for you, correct size 3/8 pipe thread. Ask before purchase. All threads are perfect with new  studs for the carb and thermostat housing. It has new heater hose and water pump bi-pass fitting installed. No corrosion in the water coolant areas. There are some pics posted of what will often happen when a person is trying to restore one of these. Those hardware store plugs will break off, they don't belong in any Corvette manifold and you're not going to get one like that out without damage to the alum. You are not going to unscrew most old fittings without damage to the manifold. You can soak them, apply heat, it's not going to help as they are rusted in there. When they rust, they expand. There is only one way to get them out safely and that's to drill them out. You need the equipment and know what you're doing to do this. Take a look at the pic of the manifold we got in for repair where the guy tried to remove the heater hose fitting. It  broke a piece out of the manifold. We did repair it for him as shown. We do a lot of these type repairs. You try to unscrew old fittings and that is what will often happen. Please save yourself a lot of trouble and don't buy one with old fittings or plugs in it. We will always remove the splash pan for cleaning and inspection, then reinstall with new rivets. We have posted a pic of a manifold where the heat riser had burned through and it was not visable with the pan on. How would you like to have installed that on your eng? You would be pulling the eng apart and never find out why it's smoking and blowing oil. Some "Corvette" dealers, sellers, will not remove the pan as they say they don't want to ruin the integrity of the manifold. Are you kidding? Get real, it must be done. This is ready to install with no problems. Shipping by Fedex insured. You don't have a ebay account it's not a problem. Contact us. If you have a manifold that needs repair and restoring we can help!                      Call Gary at 813 972-2129

Dodge Zeo, Ram (2008): first official pictures

Mon, 14 Jan 2008

By James Foxall First Official Pictures 14 January 2008 19:43 Dodge has got a long way to go if it’s to convince people it’s really concerned about the environment. The car the American firm was really trumpeting at Detroit was a concept muscle car called the Zeo. A lithium ion battery powered lightweight car that will do 0-60mph in 5.7 seconds and has an equivalent power output to 286bhp sounds impressive – until you see it’s only got a range of 250 miles.
