Condition:Used

Hello and thanks for taking a peek at my listings this week...I hope you'll find something fun!

Offered this evening is a original owners manual from a 1964 Cessna Model 150 Airplane. This manual measures 5 1/4" x 7 3/4" and is 44 pages in length. This is an original printing - not a copy or reproduction - with a print date of 9-25-63 on the inside of the front cover.

This manual is in very good with very light wear on the cover as well as writing on the front and back cover. Otherwise it has no rips, tears missing/loose pages or other problems. The gray spots shown on the pictures above are shadows caused by my scanner...they are not flaws on the manual itself.

Please feel free to ask any questions, but I do not respond to offers asking to end an auction early - thanks for your understanding.

The fine print:

Payment is thru Paypal only and is due within THREE days after the end of auction.

Shipping within the United States is $4.00 including a tracking number. Shipping to Canada is $15.50 and elsewhere in the world is $23.00.

Thanks for looking and good luck!

Is this the new Lexus RC F Coupe?

Mon, 30 Sep 2013

Is this the new Lexus RC F Coupe? These could be Photoshops based on the Lexus LF-CC – which previewed the new IS – but they do have the feel of being real, and if they are then Lexus is delivering up an RC Coupe that’s pretty faithful to the LF-CC Concept and which promises to be a real competitor for the BMW M3. Under the bonnet of the RC F is expected to be a 5.0 litre V8 delivering around 455bhp and 400lb/ft of torque, complete with cylinder deactivation for more frugal running when you’re not wringing the neck of the V8, and mated to an eight-speed auto ‘box with flappy paddles and three driving modes.

MIT develops self-transforming materials that behave 'like robots without robots'

Wed, 15 Oct 2014

A cross-disciplinary research lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has developed a suite of programmable materials, including carbon fiber, printed wood grain, textile composites, rubbers and plastics, that self-transform when exposed to an external stimulus. Director of the Self-Assembly Lab, Skylar Tibbits, presented a TED talk on 4D printing in 2013, where he demonstrated how a flat sheet of material could effectively build itself when exposed to water, like a robot without a robot. Following positive feedback from industries including aviation, automotive and manufacturing, his lab has been working on developing materials that change according to different activation sources, including heat, light, and air pressure, in addition to water – all of which have automotive relevance.

Vauxhall/Opel Flextreme GT/E concept (2010)

Thu, 18 Feb 2010

This is the Opel Flextreme GT/E, a new concept that Vauxhall’s sister brand will unveil at the 2010 Geneva motor show next month. It’s Vauxhall/Opel’s second Flextreme show car – the original was revealed at the 2007 Frankfurt show – and previews how GM’s extended-range electric vehicle technology can be utilised in large cars – the GT/E uses the same electrified powertrain that is found in the more compact Ampera. The GT/E has uses the same E-REV (extended-range electric vehicle) technology that’s been developed for the Ampera.
