"How does an electronic speedometer work with my 65/66?"
Normally on a mechanical speedo a cable attaches from the transmission to the gauge. This cable rotates. The rotation of the cable is interpreted by the speedo to give you your speed. On an electronic speedo, a pulse generator (included with gauge) is attached to the transmission and is connected to the speedo via a wire. The pulse generator will send electronic pulses to the speedo which is then interpreted into your speed reading. -comes with wire harness, push button (already wired), speed indicator light (already wired), oil and temp sending units and adapters.
-Programmable: Meaning that the speedometer is electronic and all calibration is programmed in with push button that can be mounted within a 1' of the bezel. - Calibration: Push button calibration is easy for any gear/tire size (press button, follow prompts, drive a measured mile, hit the button again and your done). Beats having to trip a number of small switches on the back of the gauge multiple times to get it right, very difficult especially while driving.(instructions will be included) -has trip odometer, hours traveled, speed warning indicator, oil change reminder, and km/miles option -Speed warning indicator: This too is mounted separately but is already wired to the gauge. Set a desired speed (ex:120mph) and when that speed is reached the LED will blink.

Toyota Verso is the first Toyota to get a BMW engine
Mon, 02 Dec 2013The Toyota Verso (pictured) gets the option of a 1.6 litre BMW diesel engine from 2014 Two years ago we reported that BMW would be supplying Toyota with diesel engines in Europe from 2014, And bang on time (as you’d expect from the Germans and Japanese) the first Toyota with a BMW engine has been revealed. The Toyota Verso 1.6 D-4D goes in to production in January at Toyota’s plant in Turkey complete with a 1.6 litre diesel engine from BMW that comes with 111bhp and 199lb/ft of torque. It’s not the sort of BMW diesel that’s going to see the Verso turn in to a hot MPV, but it does give the Verso emissions of 119g/km and allow Toyota to offer an engine that appeals to frugal minded, diesel-centric European buyers.
Pagani, Mercedes-AMG say V12s are separate
Thu, 18 Nov 2010Italian sports-car maker Pagani and Mercedes-AMG, the high-performance division of Mercedes-Benz, on Thursday said that the engine for the future Pagani C9 supercar is not the same engine used in the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series roadster. The unusual announcement--automakers typically don't comment on future-product programs--refutes reports about the Pagani C9's engine. In January, Road and Track magazine reported that the V12 for the C9 was derived from the V12 in the SL65 Black Series.
Woodward Dream Cruise -- The main event of muscle and power
Sat, 20 Aug 2011Woodward Avenue was reignited on Saturday for Detroit's annual summer festival of muscle cars and all-American sheetmetal. After days of preliminary events, parades, car shows and early cruising, the main event took shape as thousands of classic cars and an estimated crowd of more than a million enthusiasts from around the country flocked to the boulevard that helped popularize the allure of fins, chrome and raw power. The event began in the mid-1990s and now is in its 17th year.
