Volvo are keen to point out that the C70 was the world’s first four seat convertible with a three piece folding metal roof as standard, which made the C70 a proper all year round convertible; open-topped motoring when the weather permits, and all the joys of a coupe when the skies darken. We tend to refer to Koenigsegg as men in a shed in Sweden, which might sound disparaging – but it isn’t. It’s a big doff of the cap to an operation which, by any normal standards in the car world, is so small it couldn’t possibly do anything really innovative and ground breaking.

The world’s only sporting event set entirely to a period theme – no vehicles produced after 1966 are allowed on the circuit and its environs throughout the weekend – this year’s Revival will be bigger and better than before, according to Lord March. “The Revival is arguably the most popular historic motor racing event in the world,” Lord March told CAR Online.
