Renault inaugurates Global Design Studio in Mumbai

The Renault Design India Studio is the sixth edition to Renault's international network of satellite design centres following those in Barcelona, Paris, Kihueng (Korea), Sao Paolo and Bucharest (Romania) and is the third to be inaugurated this year. Sat, 21 Jan 2012Auction company Barrett-Jackson has a long-standing tradition of selling cars with no reserve--meaning the car is sold to the highest bidder regardless of price--but a change in that policy saw several million-dollar sales Saturday night at the annual extravaganza in Scottsdale, Ariz. While most of the cars crossing the Barrett-Jackson auction block continue to be sold at no reserve, the auction giant offered up several classics with a reserve and the results were impressive. The top five sellers all eclipsed the magical million-dollar figure with the auction broadcast live on Speed TV.
May sales slide 4 percent on rising fuel prices, tight vehicle supplies
Wed, 01 Jun 2011U.S. light vehicle sales dropped 4 percent in May--the first decline since August--as rising gas prices, inventory shortages, higher stickers and economic jitters curbed demand. The pace of sales last month--11.78 million units on an annualized basis--was the year's lowest and marked the first seasonally adjusted total below 12 million units in seven months.
