Up for auction is a set of seat extenders with a 2 inch setback.  This allows the seat to sit 2 inches further back from factory settings.  It is perfect for drivers up to about 6' 10".  These are available for the driver side, passenger side, and for bench seats in 1967-1969 Firebirds and 1967-1969 Camaros.

Over the past few years I have had several requests about making seat extenders that go back 4 inches.  I did make some but they will not pass a crash test.  Probably the reason that GM never put them out.  When installed they look horrible in the back seat area because they stick out the rear of the seat about halfway to the rear seat.  For those reasons, mostly because of the safety issues, I am not going to offer them for sale.  The money is not worth someone getting hurt.  On top of that I have sold about 500 sets to date, many to very tall drivers.  I have not had the first complaint about 2 inches not being enough, even for the tallest of drivers.  While 4 inches would surely put the seat back even further and give even more leg room, they will not pass a crash test and it is not worth your safety to make a few bucks.

These seat extenders are ecoated black so there is no need to paint.  Also very easy to install.  Remove your seat, sliders and all.  Bolt down the seat extenders in it's place.  Then bolt down the seat (sliders and all) in the remaining holes.  Please email me with any questions or concerns.

Free mounting hardware:  The installation hardware needed to complete installation is included at no additional cost.

Audi Sport quattro Concept

Wed, 04 Sep 2013

Celebrating 30 years of the Sport Quattro, Audi has revealed its spiritual successor ahead of its debut at next week's Frankfurt motor show. The broad concept – which measures in at 4,602mm long, 1,964mm wide, 1,386mm high sitting on a wheelbase of 2,784mm – features a number of the same design cues we saw on the 2010 quattro concept, the 1983 Sport quattro and the original Ur-quattro. These include the angular, flat C-pillars and the rectangular headlamps and rear lamps.

Jaguar readying SUV for Frankfurt motor show

Wed, 31 Jul 2013

While the next new Jaguar model slated for dealerships is a BMW 3-series fighter rumored to be called the XS, Autoweek sources have confirmed the company will also be showing an SUV at the Frankfurt motor show in September. Likely to be named XQ or Q-type, the Jaguar SUV is expected to ride on a version of the XS platform (itself a variation on the aluminum XJ architecture) rather than share a platform with a Land Rover product. Slated for 2016 production, the new Jaguar XQ SUV will share some powertrain technology with Land Rover, specifically the Ford I-4 engines from the Evoque.
