Pair of made in USA black speaker kick panels for 67/68 coupe/fastback with 6.5" speakers installed. Speakers are high efficiency, coaxial speakers with 120 watt power per side, 40 watts RMS per side. Speaker wires included. These come out of the same factory that makes Polk but they don't have the Polk name, resulting in a high quality speaker at considerable savings. The 2012 Audi A3 has arrived at Geneva 2012, and it looks like the VW Group is starting to learn from Porsche’s designers; the new A3 is a new car but, unless you look hard, it could be the old A3. Sitting on a longer wheelbase than the current A3, which promises more room inside, and a bit wider too, the new A3 gets Audi’s square-cornered frill with large air intakes and the now familiar Audi headlights with LED running lights.
Fuel Injection Pioneer Stuart Hilborn 1917-2013
Mon, 16 Dec 2013Stuart Hilborn, the dry lakes hot rodder whose racing fuel injection systems powered almost the entire field at Indianapolis some years, died Monday at the age of 96. Hilborn first went to the dry lakes in 1938 and was amazed to see engine builders and racers who hadn't gone to college producing twice the horsepower of a stock setup. “I was very impressed that they had doubled the horsepower of the cars as they came out of Detroit with virtually no money at all, just work,” Hilborn told the American Hot Rod Foundation.
Joel Piaskowski becomes Director of Exterior Design at Ford North America
Mon, 27 Sep 2010Joel Piaskowski is set to become Ford's North American Director of Exterior Design. He will be filling the position previously vacated by Moray Callum, who was promoted to Executive Director for Ford Americas design when Peter Horbury went back to head up Volvo's design efforts earlier this year. "I'm very much looking forward to working with the team at Ford," Piaskowski told Car Design News.
