This is an all new 1968 Shelby style twin scoop hood being offered for the first time. It will fit any 1967 or 1968 Mustang regardless of body style. This is the short hood designed to replace your factory steel hood. It is dimensionally the same as your steel hood. If a steel hood fits your Mustang this hood will fit. You can see how nice this hood fits in the listing pictures. The hood in the pictures is fresh out of the mold and has not been prepped in any way for the pictures. This hood is not a copy of any other fiberglass hood on the market today. We started from scratch and designed this hood for fit, function, and appearance. This hood will provide 2 1/2 inches of additional under hood clearance versus a steel hood. This is more than most hoods of similar design and important to those of you who have installed or plan to install a high rise intake manifold. The area on the under side near the latch has been finished to eliminate steel hood indentations. This provides a cleaner look and will require less body shop time to prep and paint. Same holds true for the fiberglass framing. You will not find these design features on any other similar hood. There are 7 louver openings on each side of the hood. They are not tapered like those on other hoods but rather a square design from front to back. We feel this is a cleaner look. Of course the front scoop openings are completely open into the engine compartment. Air will flow into the engine compartment and exit through the louver openings. Nothing wrong with hot air leaving the engine compartment. We have not opened the hood at the very rear for several reasons. First, the original Shelby hoods were not open in that area. They received a black out decal to create the illusion of being open. Second, if we opened this area probably 1/2 of the potential buyers would prefer it not opened. It is hard enough to keep up with shipping our hoods on a timely basis without having to carry duplicate inventory. If you feel you would like your hood to have two openings at the rear that would be an easy function for your body shop to perform. This hood is 100% hand laid fiberglass. It has been metal reinforced at all mounting locations. It can be mounted using your stock hardware from your steel hood. It does not require hood pins or hood locks of any kind. You should not use stock hood hinge springs with any fiberglass hood. You should use either light weight hood hinge springs or a prop rod. We sell both. This will keep any fiberglass hood from bowing in the middle. This hood weighs 26 LBS prior to being boxed and packed. Please keep in mind any fiberglass hood will require prep work before painting. There can be minor low spots or maybe a textured. fit will not be an issue. STORAGE If you are not going to install this or any fiberglass hood on your car for a lengthy period you should store it laying flat with no items stacked on it. Fiberglass cures over time and can be distorted by improper handling. The very best place to store a fiberglass hood is on the car. Please scroll down through our ebay feedbacks and you will find many positive comments from people who have purchased and installed our fiberglass products. You can pay more for a fiberglass hood. You just can't buy a better hood. TRUCK FREIGHT Due to their size hoods must ship by truck freight. We do not mark up truck freight and we do not charge a box or handling fee. You pay exactly what we pay. Truck freight to any business address will typically cost approximately less than to a residence. We can provide truck freight quotes at your request. Please provide a city and zip code for a truck freight quote.

The Citroen Divine DS Concept is heading for Paris
Citroen do good concepts, and the DS Divine Concept is another slightly barking gilded lily from the French car makers, pointing the way to future DS models and design. About the size of a DS4, the DS Divine is driving the DS brand in a different direction to Citroen, and the lack of any Citroen badging demonstrates Citroen’s intent to set the DS models apart from the regular Citroen models as a standalone brand around the world, much as they already do in China. With a big diamond pattern grill up front and its low, squat stance, the DS Divine looks convincing, even if the oversize alloys and some of the detailing are typically ‘concept’, particularly the windowless back end.
