Design Contest: Stile Italiano Giovani 2008

The Association of the Automotive Industry (ANFIA) Italian Car Coachbuilders Group last month announced the results of the ‘Stile Italiano Giovani 2008' design competition. Open to non-professional car designers and design students worldwide, the competition - which began in May 2008 - culminated in a collection of 20 designs selected by a jury composed of representatives from leading Italian coachbuilders. Cycling charity given pothole funds

MONEY TO ENABLE more cyclists to report pothole problems through a new smartphone application is being provided by the Government. Whitehall is giving £30,000 to help cycling charity the Cyclists' Touring Club (CTC), revamp its '"Fill That Hole" website and develop a new app. More than nine million iPhone users can download the website's current app to report potholed roads to their councils.

Citroen’s new stop-start system revealed

The company launched its first-gen system four years ago on the C2 and C3, for which it claims fuel savings of up to 27 percent, but it’ll soon be superseded by a new, cheaper system. The second-generation Stop & Start will be launched in 2010 on PSA’s small petrol and – for the first time – diesel models.
