This is an original (not reproduction) set of four Pontiac Rally II wheels with chrome center caps and stainless trim rings. These KM code, 14 X 6 wheels have the standard GM 4.75" bolt pattern. Anna has given them a real artists touch. This restoration is beautiful, just like the Lady who did it. Each wheel was stripped to bare metal, hand sanded, primed and repainted with the correct Argent silver and Graphite colors. Special attention was given to the details. The KM wheels have the offset for cars without disc brakes. We have installed new red (black also available) PMD center caps and stainless trim rings. As you can see the surfaces, edges, and contours are smooth. Anna has been restoring these wheel for many years and her work can be seen on fine Pontiacs all over the country. Seldom will you see originals offered at such a low price. A special shipping rate of $80 has been arranged with FedEx Ground. We are widely known for our quality Pontiac parts and all our items have a money back guarantee. Call 307 472-0574 for more information.

The Future Role of the Vehicle Designer

Fri, 14 May 2010

The vehicle design department at the Royal College of Art hosted the second in a series of five lectures looking at the future of the profession last week. Moving on from the previous week's topic of sustainability, this debate explored the future roles and responsibilities of the vehicle designer. Head of department Dale Harrow began by posing the question "Is it time to rethink – do we still need the car?" Although still relevant, Harrow's ultimate answer to this was that the profession was about to see marked change, with the end to an era where "designers are locked behind closed doors in studios".
