Land Rover at the Paris motor show 2008
Mon, 06 Oct 2008By Ged Maxwell Motor Shows 06 October 2008 09:57 Land Rover unveiled its most fuel-efficient car ever at the French motor show: the new Freelander TD4_e Stop/Start. No prizes for guessing it's a diesel 4x4, whose economy is improved by 3.8mpg and CO2 falls by 8 percent. Tell me more about the Freelander TD4_e Stop/StartLand Rover has been harping on about its new green technologies for quite a while – so it's a relief finally to see a production car (rather than the far-fetched concepts we've become used to) bristling with eco kit applied.
Peugeot 2008: Official
Mon, 07 Jan 2013The crossover / SUV version of the new Peugeot 208 – the Peugeot 2008 – has been revealed officially by Peugeot ahead of a Geneva 2013 debut. Peugeot are long on how they’ve drawn on the 3008 Crossover (a better car than you’d expect) to create a B Segment Crossover that will take the fight to everything from the Countryman to the Juke, but very short on any real detail.
Aston Martin won’t be proclaiming ‘Powered by AMG’ on its Mercedes-engined cars
Mon, 03 Feb 2014Aston Martin won’t be using ‘Powered by AMG’ badges It was a long time coming, but Aston Martin finally found a way to replace their ageing engines by doing a deal with Mercedes AMG to use their very impressive powerplants. And it seems that, depite AMG’s willingness to provide Aston Martin with modern engines, AML aren’t going to be required to put AMG badges on the bodywork or engines of their very beautiful cars. Speaking to Autocar, Mercedes boss Dieter Zetsche said that Mercedes were very happy to have done a deal with AML and equally as happy to be subtle about the arrangement.
