Show Review: Milan Furniture Fair 2006
Fri, 21 Apr 2006Located in one of Europe's most fashionable cities, the Italian design fair is in its 45th year, newly housed in 'Fieramilano' west of the city centre. That the venue effectively disperses crowds knotted on the underground says something about its size and the somewhat compromised transport infrastructure that has to handle the 200,000 show-goers that come in from across the world. Former VW and Renault designer Markus Haub turns artist with 'Racing Legends' collection
Wed, 15 May 2013Former Volkswagen and Renault designer Markus Haub has merged photography, painting and digital effects to create a 'Racing Legends' series, which focuses on racecars from the 1960s and ‘70s. Haub, a Pforzheim University graduate, who now teaches at the Barcelona campus of the Instituto Europeo di Design school (IED) when not producing his unique artwork, uses software to manipulate his photography which is then printed and made into a collage. He then works into it with paint and other artists' tools, creating what you can see here.
Hungarian Grand Prix (2011) RESULT
Mon, 01 Aug 2011Hungary F1 Grand Prix 2011 The 2011 Hungary Grand Prix marks the 200th Grand Prix for Jenson Button, and is also the scene of his first Grand Prix win, a win made in very similar weather conditions – overcast with intermittent rain – as the Hungaroring presented in 2011. A good omen, perhaps? As it turned out the often boring Hungarian Grand Prix was a properly good show.
