Select the desired amount of spacers and match a bolt of proper length to insure full engagement into the transmission mount. Some applications will not require any spacers. Some vehicles of this generation are equipped with a crossmember that bolts directly to the vehicles frame rail, while others are equipped with a crossmember that utilizes a tab that sets on the frame rail and is then clamped by a steel cap that is embedded with a rubber liner. The RCAEC2 crossmember bolts directly to the frame rail and utilizes the factory frame holes. To utilize the provided 7/16 hardware it is necessary to enlarge the holes in the frame rails with a 1/2" drill. If the installer chooses to utilize the stock size 3/8 hardware, it is strongly recommended that the installer obtain Grade 8 fasteners and washers to compensate. 1968-1972 Transmission types : TH350 , Muncie , Powerglide , BW T-10 , Super T-10, Saginaw, TH200, 700R4, 4L60, 4L60E, TKO-500, TKO-600, 200 R4, TH400 Short Tail. Kia Forte
Fri, 27 Jul 2012Kia has released renderings of its 2014 Forte model, known as the K3 in Korea and the Cerato in the European market, ahead of its debut at this year's Los Angeles auto show in November. The renderings show the Kia family tiger nose grille, while a rising line sweeps from the front to the rear, giving the car a much more aggressive stance than its predecessor. A steeply-raked windscreen and blacked-out side window frames, emphasized by a chrome strip around the side graphics, creating a more dynamic profile.
Alfa Romeo 159 – upgrades for 2010
Thu, 27 Aug 2009Alfa Romeo has updated the 159 for 201 with new trim levels and two new engines The Alfa 159 is arguably the best looking compact executive saloon on the market. We know, it doesn’t sell as well as the German competition, but it is a fine looking car and has a great deal of ‘Alfa-ness’ about it. But Alfa has decided a few tweaks are needed, so it’s throwing a couple of new engines at the 159 and having a play with the trim options.
White House pushes automakers toward 54.5-mpg target by 2025
Tue, 26 Jul 2011The White House is pushing automakers to agree by Wednesday to a corporate average fuel economy target of 54.5 mpg by 2025--a figure 1.7 mpg less than the 56.2 mpg standard it floated earlier this month. The easing of the White House plan stems from a concession to makers of light trucks and SUVs, and particularly larger vehicles in that segment, such as Ford's F-150, sources said. The latest White House proposal, the most definitive of any it has put forth, calls for a 5 percent annual mileage increase for cars from 2017-2025, said industry and congressional officials who asked not to be named because their discussions with the White House are confidential.
