Jaguar C-X75 adds Louis Vuitton Award to collection

Adding to its collection of trophies, the Jaguar C-X75 was last night awarded the Louis Vuitton Classic Concept Award 2010 by a panel of luminaries from the worlds of design, fashion and luxury. Set up in 2009, the annual Louis Vuitton Classic Awards Ceremony took place in Paris on February 1st and recognizes both a classic car and a new innovation within the automotive industry. The Louis Vuitton award is the latest accolade for the C-X75, since its unveiling at the 2010 Paris motor show.

Announced in Detroit at Fiat-Chrysler HQ, Alfa Romeo chief technology officer Harald Wester revealed the mantra for the brand includes pushing volumes up from 74,000 sales in 2013, to around 400,000 by 2018. Porsche 918 infotainment system to be based on HTML5

While some automakers, like Ford and General Motors, are beginning to open up their code to outside developers via application programming interfaces, Porsche's taking a very interesting route for the 918 Spyder's infotainment system. The the hybrid supercar's dashboard interface uses the same code that the modern Internet runs on: HTML5. Germany's AutoBild reports that Porsche cites the ease of programming as part of their rationale for the system; smartphone integration is another.
