Goodwood Festival of Speed 2009 – The Launch

Damon Hill & Lord March kick-off the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2009 Launch with a Mini stuffed with 'Minis'. This years Goodwood Festival of Speed will be held on the weekend of 3rd – 5th July, and offers lots of tempting morsels for the petrol-head. But more than that, it’s actually a good day out for the none petrol-head partner as well.

Kia Borrego

Kia has released photos of the Borrego, a full-size SUV for the North American market. The production model, which was originally previewed as the Mesa Concept at the 2005 Detroit Auto show, would have taken exactly three years to be transformed from a show car to a full production model when it makes its official debut at the NAIAS in 2008. Overall proportions and design details have been adjusted and toned-down noticeably from the Mesa concept, with details such as more realistically-sized alloy wheels, the body-To-DLO ratio, a no-frills interior and, perhaps most apparent, the more subtle greenhouse graphics.

Ford Fiesta S2000 rally car (2010) revealed

Ford isn’t planning an ST or RS Fiesta, but this is the next best thing – the Ford Fiesta S2000 rally car. Built by M-Sport - the same team behind the WRC Focus - it’s Ford first global rally car. The Fiesta is eligible to enter national rally championships, as well as the IRC and S2000 World Cup in 2010, and will also form the basis of Ford’s WRC effort in 2011. It will debut as a course car at next week’s Rally of Scotland, the final round of this year’s IRC.
