Up for sale - 1969 Camaro engine block 3955272, JH coded L78, one of the 4,889 L78's built for Camaro duty in 1969. Block is bored .060 over, very straight bores, little or no ridge, cast date K-22-1968, build date 12/15/1968, bores have some slight surface rust but should clean up easily. The block is plainly stamped with an original VIN code, 19N571318, over the oil filter (see pic). Block is untested, will be returned to service in my car if not sold.

Shipping is motor freight collect - I will crate and deliver to truck terminal.  Local pickup is possible in the Nashville, TN area. No warranty on this block - it is an original, not a restamped bogus block.

President Akio Toyoda toured Japan's earthquake disaster zone, including the damaged assembly plant opened there in January, as the world's largest automaker struggles to get a grip on the supplier crisis and resume production. Toyoda's trip on Sunday and Monday took him to Miyagi prefecture, near the epicenter of the killer March 11 quake and an area being positioned by Toyota as its domestic center for small car production.

But a 59-year-old California man is blitzing the United States for a different reason: charity. Dave Schaub, the founder of a Bay Area meat market, is driving 9,800 miles in nine days--or 216 hours, during which he
