If you have a 1969 Mustang and want a nice safety upgrade you might want to replace those old sealed beam headlights with modern and brighter XENON bulbs. The XENON bulbs are 4 times brighter than the old style sealed beam lights. In addition to an extra special headlight harness this kit includes two high beam bulbs and two low beam bulbs. Here is what Delta says about the XENON bulbs;
Delta developed a 5 ¾ xenon high beam headlight replacements for the sealed beam which outperform any stock headlights 4 to1. This kit feature lead-crystal prismatic glass lens, vacuum metalized steel reflectors and silicon boot with vents to seal from dust and moisture. The set consists of 2 (ea) headlights, 2 (ea) H4 Xenon bulbs 60/55 Watt, 2 (ea) rubber boots. XENON bulbs pull more current through that vintage headlight switch and can cause it to fail. We therefore include an auxiliary headlight harness in our kit with a built in relay so that there is no increased risk to your vintage headlight switch. Very thorough installation instructions are included with the kit. Please read the instructions that accompany this listing to insure that you or your installation person feels comfortable handling the installation. The installation is straight forward but does require some patience and attention to detail. You are going to like just how much better you can see at night when you add the XENON headlight kit. |

Thu, 05 Jun 2014The new Subaru WRX STI set a new Isle of Man TT record lap Last month we reported that rally driver Mark Higgins was heading back to the Isle of Man in an almost standard Subaru WRX STI to have a crack at breaking the record he set on the TT course in 2011 in the last WRX STI. The 2011 lap record Higgins set was the first time the record had been broken in 21 years, a record set by Tony Pond in 1990 in a Rover 827 Vitesse in a stunning drive in a less than ideal car for the task. Mark Higgins, perhaps unsurprisingly, blitzed Tony Pond’s 100mph average speed round the TT course and turned in a time of 19:56.7 at an average speed of 113mph.
