A great, genuine
" Becker Mexico Cassette Stereo 485 " radio from the 70's.


This is a US version with AM & FM Stereo, Cassette and Automatic Station Seek.

This radio, serial #213216, has
just been restored to 100% working condition
Everything works and it does come with a warranty. 

It comes with the external Stereo amplifier
 and has the original factory label.


The radio fits most Mercedes models and
other European cars from the 1960's to the 80's including:
Porsche, Ferrari, BMW, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Jaguar, MG, Austin Healey.


The operating voltage is 12 Volt with negative on chassis.

It requires a dash opening of  7.1 x 2.1 inches.


Cosmetically this unit is in very good
condition. All knobs are new. The chrome frame and face plate have some very minor defects, if desired those can be upgraded with brand new parts for additional charges.


Available is an iPod / S-Phone / MP3 / adapter option for $49:
This adapter, picture 1, will be hard wired into the radio, so will provide quality sound for your iPod / MP3 / Smart Phone through your car speakers, without fading or interference. This is a custom designed module. To operate, just plug the mini stereo cable into the jack on the little black box, which will switch the sound from radio to the Aux connected device . The volume and tone control on the radio will adjust the sound. The small interface box, 1 x 1.5 inches, can be mounted under the dash, in the clove box or any spot within a 2 foot distance from the radio. A longer cable can be provided if desired.

New car sales up for 28th consecutive month

THE STEADY ADVANCE of new car sales shows no sign of slowing down. There were 228,291 new registrations in June, a 6.2% rise on the total for June 2013, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) said. Last month was the 28th consecutive month of growth and means that sales for the year so far have reached more than 1.28 million - a 10.6% rise on the first six months of last year.

The third video in a five-part mini-series documenting the Peugeot Premium 2030 project students at Strate College in Paris, France, have been working on has now been released. While the first video presented the projects envisaged by the 10 student teams following the initial brief supplied by Peugeot and the second episode brought us into the sketching phase undertaken by the 30 students, this third video outlines the different scenarios illustrated by each student group and takes into account social objectives, space constraints and environmental issues that will influence consumers of the future. Punctuated by interview segments with Peugeot's head of interiors, Amko Leenarts, this episode brings further insight into the 2D development phase and the initial presentation stage, where students explain the inspiration behind their projects and their vision for the future premium Peugeot of 2030.
