Custom CNC Solid Billet Aluminum Radiator Cap for 1970 - 1977 Maverick.   Custom engraved in the center with studs accents.  This is rated for 13 psi.

All caps will be made with the stud pattern unless otherwise specified at time of purchase.  If you do not want the studs, please message me at time of purchase with your request.  Custom engravings are also available.

VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION:  I use a 2 part titanium epoxy purchased from the local auto parts store to attach the radiator cap insert to the cap.  I have found lately that not all radiators are within the same alignment.  If you prefer, I can leave the cap in two pieces so you, the buyer can epoxy it yourself if you are concerned about the proper alignment.  Please leave a Note To Seller on the checkout page if you would like to attach it yourself.

2014 Mercedes S Class LIVE reveal

Wed, 15 May 2013

The new S Class (W222) gets a bit longer than the current S Class (by 20mm), a bit wider (28mm) and a bit lower (25mm) but the wheelbase of the standard S Class stays the same at 3035mm with the long wheelbase S Class getting an extra 130mm for extra sprawling room. There will be a variety of engines on offer in the new S Class (from parsimonious 4-cylinders to mighty V12s) but we’re expecting at launch that just three will be on offer – the S350 diesel with a 255bhp V6, the S400 with a 300bhp V6 petrol and the S500 with a 4.7 litre turbo petrol with 450bhp. In terms of styling, Mercedes appear to have taken away much of the bulbous look of the current S Class and replaced it with a more flowing shape, but one that’s still very much S Class.

Ford warms up new era of car-guy leaders

Thu, 01 Nov 2012

A minor temblor shook Dearborn, Mich., today with the announcement that Mark Fields, president of the Americas, climbed the golden corporate ladder to grab the chief operating officer ring, setting him up to succeed Alan Mulally in a couple of years. The move did not come as a shock-it only confirmed the whispers of auto industry Royal Watchers. The biggest news for those who care about cars, however, is two-fold: Jim Farley, Ford's global marketing boss, also takes the helm of Lincoln.

Concept Car of the Week: Mercedes-Benz C111, C111-II and C111-IID

Fri, 30 Aug 2013

In 1962, Mercedes-Benz launched a research program to investigate the development of the Wankel rotary engine and its potential both on the road and track. While the early mule wasn't a looker, the prototype's design continued to evolve until a public unveiling of the C111-I concept, designed by Bruno Sacco, at the 1969 Frankfurt motor show. The coupé may have looked like the systematic further development of the Sport Light models from the ‘50s with its gullwing doors, but it wasn't a design study for a new SL.
