1970-74 Barracuda Gran Coupe, Cuda, Quarter Panel Rear Edge Mouldings, Vgc Orig. on 2040-parts.com
Stillwater, Minnesota, US
Up for your auction bids is this original Mopar used pair (left and right) of 1970-71 Barracuda Gran Coupe and 1972-74 Barracuda / Cuda quarter panel exterior rear "L"-shaped mouldings. Are shown as Mopar part #s of: 3419706-7 in Mopar parts catalog. Constructed of anodized aluminum. These meet up to the similar-shaped moulding on the decklid edge (not included here, nor do I have one ).
Featured 1970 Barracuda, Gran Coupe, Cuda quarter panel rear mouldings were both replacement Mopar mouldings some years ago, when you could get these from Mopar still. They still have excellent, shiny and bright anodizing finish, that is not pitted, corroded, or even scratched much. Nothing bent, kinked, distorted, or drilled. Both unfortunately do however have an upward ding in the lower face of each of them (see pictures 4 and 5). This may have been from a stubborn or misaligned clip on the underside of these when a previous owner pushed on them too agressively when trying to mount the mouldings. These could be used as is, or the dings smoothed out and refinished. You won't find much cleaner or straighter than these otherwise, and the contours and edge profiles are way better on these than reproductions I have seen of these. I do not have clips for these mouldings, but believe they available aftermarket, or perhaps you can use your old ones again.
Don't miss these rare original Mopar replacement pieces at my low opening bid price. Quite expensive in reproduction, and I believe you have to buy a whole set of three also. Be sure to put in that good bid today! Thanks for stopping in to look and bid!

Of course this isn't Ford's first experience of using a defunct carrozzeria for its range-topping models – remember Ghia? The first of these new models will be the Mondeo, which will appear with Vignale badging, lashings of chrome and quilted leather in Frankfurt next week.

Wed, 11 Feb 2009By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 11 February 2009 11:48 Saab finally has a new model, but it’s not the long-awaited new 9-5 or the 9-4X SUV. Instead it’s the 9-3X, a jacked-up estate in the style of the Audi Allroad. Like the Audi, it’s only available in estate guise (Sport Wagon in Saab speak), and will be officially unveiled at the 2009 Geneva motor show in just a few weeks' time.
