Vauxhall Zafira Tourer gets BiTurbo Beef
Wed, 30 Jan 2013The Zafira Tourer gets a new range-topper with the launch of the Vauxhall Zafira Tourer BiTurbo with 192bhp. Price from £27,685. The launch of a range-topping Vauxhall Zafira Tourer BiTurbo, with the very decent BiTurbo diesel from the Insignia and Astra (and for that matter, the new Vauxhall Cascada) means you don’t have to poodle round like a good family man when you transport your brood.
MG TF – finally built at Longbridge. Plus mystery MG
Mon, 02 Jun 2008By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 02 June 2008 12:18 After a series of twists, turns, delays and wildly ambitious claims more akin to a Miss Marple whodunnit, MG has finally built its first TFs at the Longbridge plant in the West Midlands. We've seen the first TF LE500 models at Longbridge and we hear they will be in dealers soon, priced at around £16,000. What's changed since the last 2005 cars? These early pre-prototypes look virtually unchanged, but now come with a body-coloured hard-top, leather seats, air-con and improved interior plastics as standard. The cars pictured here have the new standard-fit glass rear screen, wind deflector, 16in alloys in shadow chrome or satin-black finish and the new piano black interior trim and revised dials.
AMG plans greener, cleaner performance cars
Wed, 08 Oct 2008By Ben Whitworth Motor Industry 08 October 2008 08:00 AMG is going green – the maker of unfeasibly fast Mercedes-Benz models is gearing up for hybrid and diesel versions, using advanced low-weight materials to retain their tyre-smoking performance credentials while satisfying the nagging greener conscience. In an exclusive CAR interview, Aufrecht Melcher Großaspach boss Volker Mornhinweg spoke candidly about the company’s future and outlined why a raft of imminent eco measures would enhance AMG’s performance capabilities rather than stifle them. ‘Of course emissions and economy are important to us at AMG – only a fool would ignore these factors today,’ said Mornhinweg (pictured).
