Here is a used orignal side marker lamp assembly for ’71 thru ’74 Javelin & AMX.  I am told it is the same for ’71 thru ’78 Matador but I have not been able to confirm 100%.

Part has the RED lens, correct for the rear quarter panel of car.  GUIDE SAE PIA 71AB – measures approximately 7 3/16” x 1 ¾” overall.

Back shows many American Motors part numbers including: SF-3661200, SF-3636748, SF-3665076, TL-01896C.

Part is good condition overall with no cracks or other physical damage anywhere; lens shows a few scattered light scuffs that could be polished out.

Chrome bezel is slightly faded/worn but will polish up to a shine.

A respectable driver-quality piece with potential for restoration/detailing!

In ditching the rear seats of the cabriolet, it becomes the first two-seat convertible in the brand's history.

Concept Car of the Week: Volvo Tundra (1979)

Fri, 06 Sep 2013

With Volvo beginning a new chapter in its design history with the Concept Coupé, it's interesting to look back at another Volvo coupé concept from 1979 – the Tundra. At the time, the Swedish manufacturer built large and relatively pricey cars that were neither really luxurious nor real 'people cars'. The 340 series began the brand's expansion towards more affordable models and proved to be very successful worldwide.

GM recalls 1.5 million vehicles for oil leak

Mon, 13 Apr 2009

General Motors is recalling nearly 1.5 million Buick, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile and Pontiac mid-sized cars equipped with a 3.8-liter engine because an oil leak could start an engine fire. Under hard braking, engine oil could leak past a heat shield and drip on the exhaust manifold. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says that could start a small fire that could spread to a plastic spark plug wire guide and beyond.
