CENTER GAUGE/ SWITCH PANEL FROM A 1972 JAGUAR XJ6. UNIT COMES UNTESTED AND SOLD AS IS. REMOVED FROM A DRY VEHICLE. WOOD IS IN VERY GOOD SHAPE AND STILL SHINES NICELY. ALL SWITCHES FLIP UP AND DOWN AS THEY SHOULD. GAUGES ARE CLEAN. THE HARNESS IS CUT AT EACH END. WILL COME WITH FASTENERS PICTURED AT THE TOP OF EACH CORNER. Jaguar Land Rover create 700 more jobs at new engine plant
Tue, 05 Mar 2013Jaguar Land Rover has announced that they are creating an additional 700 jobs – double the original – at their new engine plant in Wolverhampton. Back in 2011, we revealed that Jaguar Land Rover were planning a new facility on the i54 development in Wolverhampton to build engines for their cars, removing the reliance on Ford’s (excellent) engines in the process. That investment was to be £335 million with 700 new jobs created in Wolverhampton – and more than 2,000 in the supply chain – but it seems that’s not going to be enough with Jaguar Land Rover sales continuing to grow at a great rate of knots.

It seems to epitomise all the was impressive about the decade and – despite now being 50 years old – it still stands up as a stylish and desirable car. Not only is the E-type stylish and iconic it’s having new life breathed back in to it by companies like Eagle, who build E-Types to order from restoration projects and to a standard that surpasses the way they ever came out of British Leyland (or whatever the name of the company was that built them at the time - there were several iterations of the BL Brand, unfortunately).

Gumpert has revealed that the Gumpert Apollo S lapped the Nurburgring in 7:11.57. Which according to Gumpert is a new Nurburgring lap record for a production car.
