High Fuel Costs Forcing Drivers Off Road

THE latest AA/Populus survey released to coincide with the Government’s Autumn Statement tells us something we probably already know: high fuel prices are continuing to force drivers to use their cars less. As part of its poll of 21,587 AA members, the organisation found that 45% are cutting down on car usage and 28% are slashing family or personal budgets to compensate. Semi or unskilled workers and pensioners are cutting back most on motoring, with 53% using their cars less.

2013 Mercedes GL Mercedes Benz has officially revealed the 2013 Mercedes GL SUV at the New York Motor Show. On sale in the UK early 2013. We had photos of the 2013 Mercedes GL in last week ahead of its official reveal at the New York Motor Show, but now the show is under way – well, press day at least – Mercedes has now revealed their big SUV officially.

Ferrari 575GT Zagato

Zagato recently unveiled their bespoke Ferrari 575GTZ at Villa d'Este Concours d'Elegance in Italy. Zagato, based in nearby Milan, was commissioned by Japanese collector Yoshiyuki Hayashi to create a new body for his 575M in the style of the 250GTZ Berlinetta. Despite the same underpinnings as the 575M the whole car has been remodelled, striking a balance between its Fifties forebear and more contemporary Ferraris.
