The item is a good Original, used, cast # 3970010, 1974 Chevy, 4 bolt main engine block, it is freshly bored, +.040 and honed, the pistons are forged and have a mild dish in them, for lower compression. I have the original connecting rods that go with the engine block, I have crankshafts also, but that is EXTRA. I can email photos on request. I guarantee this engine to be rebuildable and NO CRACKS in Block. Short block can be delivered by me from Walnutport, Pa. to Manchester, Mich or along the way on my next trip to my Son's place in Mich. Tue, 25 Jan 2011Good news for fans of Aston Martin's V8 Vantage, and especially those who found it a touch slow: the new, musclier V8 Vantage S. The Aston Martin Vantage S is a tweaked-up version of the regular Vantage, and a full production model. It's the fastest Vantage yet! The biggest change is under the bonnet. The 4.7-litre V8 now has a stouter 430bhp, which makes it 20bhp more powerful than the Vantage N24 and 30bhp up on the N400 special editions.
OnStar and Verizon reveal camera-laden Buick
Wed, 05 Jan 2011OnStar and Verizon are debuting a prototype Buick LaCrosse at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas that offers a range of futuristic technologies. The spy-tech features include cameras that monitor activity around the car which can be viewed from a smartphone and a computer, and an impact-detection system that can replay a video clip of fender-benders. There also are enhanced voice commands to access Web sites, including YouTube, Twitter and Wikipedia, and an electronic owner's manual for the car that's streamed onto the dashboard.
