Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X FQ-440 MR (2014) first official picture
Wed, 26 Mar 2014By Ollie Kew First Official Pictures 26 March 2014 16:00 Mitsubishi is unleashing a comeback-special Evo X to celebrate the company’s 40th Anniversary in the UK. The FQ-440 MR is the most powerful Evo ever sold by Mitsubishi, thanks to a storming 440bhp output from its 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Mitsubishi claims this ultimate Evo X develops a maximum of 412lb ft at 3100rpm: 25lb ft more than the previous top-dog Evo X achieved.
Audi Crosslane Coupe concept (2012) - the new Q2!
Fri, 28 Sep 2012Audi showed off the new Crosslane Coupe concept car at the Paris motor show in 2012 - and it's basically the new Q2 in show-car drag. Ingolstadt may call it 'a hybrid study providing pointers to the design language of future Audi Q models,' but very senior execs told CAR it is the new Q2. Audi is preparing a raft even-numbered Q models which will provide a lower slung breed of crossover to the family-oriented Q3/Q5/Q7 set.
German new car sales drop 11 per cent – pre-reg accounts for 33.5 per cent
Fri, 19 Oct 2012New car sales in Germany dropped by 11 per cent in September with pre-reg cars accounting for over a third of all sales. That drop of 11 per cent in Germany is despite deep discount offers – an average of 12.2 per cent in September – with even the previously invincible Mercedes and VW having to offer discounts of up to €3k, despite which VW’s sales fell by 20 per cent in Germany and Mercedes by 12 per cent. What’s perhaps most interesting about the decline in car sales in Germany is the number of pre-reg cars sold (pre reg cars are cars registered by dealers to hit sales targets and then sold at a discount of up to 25 per cent).
