Mini Inspired by Goodwood gets the Rolls-Royce touch for Shanghai auto show
Wed, 13 Apr 2011We scratched our head when Aston Martin took the tiny Toyota iQ and turned it into the Cygnet. Now, Mini has called on its business cousin, Rolls-Royce, to create the Mini Inspired by Goodwood. The car will debut next week at the Shanghai motor show.
Fiat 500C drops cover (and top) for Geneva show
Tue, 17 Feb 2009To keep in step with Mini, Fiat will launch a convertible version of the 500 at the Geneva motor show. The 500C comes a couple months after Mini showed its own new convertible at the Detroit auto show. In place of the fixed roof is a power retractable soft top with rear glass window and built-in rear brake light.
Chrysler loses 'Imported from Detroit' lawsuit
Wed, 29 Jun 2011A federal judge today denied a motion by Chrysler Group LLC to bar use of its "Imported from Detroit" commercial tag line by clothier Pure Detroit, which in turn has formally opposed Chrysler's bid to trademark the phrase. U.S. District Judge Arthur Tarnow ruled that Chrysler's request didn't show that it would suffer irreparable harm or that it had a strong likelihood of winning its case.
