McLaren reportedly at work on its next big thing

While we're getting ready for the soon-to-be-released McLaren MP4-12C, the British sports-car maker is at work on its next project. McLaren is aiming for a 2014 launch for a sports car that is larger than the MP4-12C, according to the Web site of the U.K.'s Autocar magazine. The magazine says McLaren is working with engineering firm Ricardo to develop a 5.0-liter engine that cranks out nearly 800 hp.

It wasn’t the most shocking story considering how feeble the London Cab has become in comparison to newer offerings like the Mercedes Taxi – which is taking a big chunk of sales from the traditional cab – but still sad to see the iconic London Taxi end up this way. London Taxis International already sourced most of the parts for the TX4 from China and just bolted them together here.

Jaguar XF SE Business & XF Sport launch

Jaguar has chosen today to launch two new XF models – the Jaguar XF SE Business and Jaguar XF Sport – to coincide with the XF being declared ‘Executive Car of the Year’ by Business Car. Another gong for the XF, and two new models for the XF range.
