Police advocate 'role reversal' for cyclists and truckers
Fri, 15 Nov 2013BRITAIN’S most senior police officer has advocated a scheme to improve cyclists' and lorry drivers' understanding of each other's needs on the road following a spate of deaths. Metropolitan Police commissioner Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe said drivers and cyclists need to think about how they use the road. The use of the T5, twin rail steel chassis from the Discovery is vital if the Defender is to continue to offer the range of body styles currently available – including hard and soft tops – which make the Defender the versatile work horse it is. But the Defender will still be going on a diet and will be a lighter car than the current Model.
