Springfield, Missouri, United States
nicely cleaned and painted where need and ready to install
Brand:GM Placement on Vehicle:Rear

Up for auction is a restored  original spare tire carrier assembly taken from a 1978 (C-3) Corvette.  This should fit other year models but you need to be sure for your application.

The lower fiberglass tub was cleaned down to its original nice gray surface and the "Y" strap was cleaned and repainted black.  All the hardware shown was cleaned to their original metal surface and where needed painted black.  The top cover is nice and clean and I see no damage.  The fiberglass tub has some minor imperfections for its age but  overall in excellent shape and all the edges are good.  This is very nice and ready to install.

The unit does not include the lock.

I also have a jack taken form a 1978 Corvette with a date code of "804" (fourth week of 1978)  It is also restored with the handle and will be listed in another separate ebay ad.

Mon, 04 Apr 2011

Toyota Hybrid Challenge - Beware: Slow(er) moving Hybrid Ahead We’ll be the first to admit it: Toyota hybrids can achieve some pretty remarkable feats of economy. Trouble is, only if you’re happy to drive like you hate it with a passion. And that doesn’t mean thrashing the life out of your Toyota hybrid to get there as quickly as possible, because if you do you’ll probably get worse mpg than if you just had the Atkinson cycle lump without the hybrid gubbins.
