The mastermind behind the F1 supercar left McLaren Cars a couple of years ago, and has now secured the funding to set up on his own. Gordon Murray Design Limited – a design, prototyping and development company – will be launched on 4 July.

In a report in the Telegraph, Charles is quoted as saying his new company will “build on the innovation and heritage of my grandfather”. Mercedes removed Lieb over compliance issue, report says
Thu, 20 Oct 2011Daimler AG dismissed Mercedes-Benz USA chief Ernst Lieb for violations of human resources and ethics policies relating to household expenses paid by the automaker, The Financial Times reported Wednesday, citing sources close to the company. Lieb was abruptly removed as head of the automaker's second-largest market on Oct. 17 after more than 30 years at Daimler.
