New Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer (2011) Revealed

The Vauxhall Astra ST 2011 You can’t have a new Vauxhall Astra without a new Astra Estate, so Vauxhall has now got round to revealing the Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer, which will go on sale at the end of the year and be built at Vauxhall’s plant in Ellesmere Port. Vauxhall has done a good job of making a load-lugger from the stylish Astra. The wheelbase remains the same but the load length grows by 28mm, not a huge amount but enough to give the Astra ST 500 litres of load space with the seats up and 1550 litres with them down.

The Bentley Continental Supersports hits the floor at Geneva It’s only a couple of weeks since we got confirmation that Bentley was producing the Continental Supersports Convertible, and that the debut would be at Geneva. So there’s not really an awful lot more to tell, but we do love the idea of such a monstrously powerful convertible as the Supersports so much that we wanted an excuse to run another story. Top Indian cars fail crash safety tests

SEVERAL of India's most popular small cars have failed independent crash tests, a global car safety watchdog said. David Ward, head of the London car-safety watchdog Global NCAP, which performed the crash tests, said the car industry in India lacked adequate safeguards. Four of five small cars popular on the Indian market last year, including the famous Tata Nano, failed the crash tests.
