Lamborghini LP650-4 Roadster – in the wild
Sun, 31 May 2009Lamborghini Murcielago LP650-4 Roadster at a motor event in the US We first got details on the new Lamborghini LP650-4 Roadster back in February, and Lamborghini subsequently issued a set of pictures to show it was real. But it was a bit of a surprise to see a real one turn up at a Lamborghini event in the US. Sporting the same 650bhp as the Lamborghini Reventon, the LP650-4 Roadster is the last of the line of open-topped Murcielagos (apart from the Reventon Roadster – which as there will only be 9 doesn’t really count), and is the successor to the LP640 Roadster.
Future products: Geely must retool Volvo plans
Wed, 01 Sep 2010Ford Motor Co.'s sale of Volvo to Geely in August leaves doubt about the Swedish company's product plans. For example, all of Volvo's current range except the 9-year-old XC90 crossover makes use of Ford vehicles and components. The XC90 is based on Volvo's P2 platform and was developed before Ford ownership.
Jaguar Land Rover aiming to double sales
Sat, 22 Jun 2013Jaguar Land Rover plan to double sales We’ve got so used to reporting ever increasing sales for Jaguar and Land Rover that it comes as no big surprise that JLR are planning to double car sales by 2020. A few years ago such a figure would have been risible, but since Tata took the helm from Ford in 2008 the focus at JLR on creating a world beating brand and product has been unshakable. Tata got off to a good start with the Jaguar XF replacing the S-Type, and the new Jaguar XJ showing just how good a big luxury car can be to drive.
