Porsche 918 Spyder here in 2013, says new CEO
Tue, 05 Oct 2010New Porsche president and chief executive officer Matthias Müller has confirmed that the new 918 Spyder hybrid supercar is on track for a 2013 delivery. Speaking to CAR at the 2010 Paris motor show, Müller said the engineering programme was on time and that the 918 would stay faithful to the concept car revealed in March this year. ‘We are doing [engineering] concept work on the 918 at the moment and will finish at the end of 2010,’ said Müller.
Porsche Museum opens in Stuttgart

With a collection of 80 vehicles and three exhibit areas spanning the periods before and after 1948, the Porsche Museum includes an array of iconic vehicles and celebrates the outstanding technical achievements of Professor Ferdinand Porsche during the early 20th century. Located in the Stuttgart suburb of Zuffenhausen, where Porsche produces the 911 model series and all of its engines, the new museum was designed by Vienna-based architectural firm Delugan Meissl - which beat 170 other firms in a race to design the building in 2004.

Wed, 25 Jan 2012Less than 10 hours after President Barack Obama wrapped up his third State of the Union address, manufacturing and automobiles continued to command the spotlight on Wednesday in Washington. The day began with General Motors CEO Dan Akerson defending the Chevrolet Volt before a U.S. House committee hearing, saying he didn't want it to become a "political punching bag," according to testimony provided by the company.
