Product Description

BBK Strut Tower Brace
These BBK tubular strut tower braces from BBK will eliminate unwanted front chassis flex and improve handling. Their super-strong tubular steel design reduces cowl flex by up to 40 percent, without sacrificing ride quality. This brace comes in a black powder coated finish, and is designed to clear many aftermarket intake manifolds.

Reduced Chassis Flex
Mustangs have been notorious for having front end chassis flex since their debut in 1964. In 1995 Ford decided to help solve the problem on some Mustang models by installing a triangular strut tower brace that helped join the flexing strut towers together and then join them to the firewall for additional strength.

Only problem was they did not work with any aftermarket intakes, cold air kits and other engine mods.

BBK Quality
The robotically welded BBK Design is now available to fit all Mustang applications and fits with most engine modifications. Constructed from super strong tubular steel that helps strengthen the front chassis even more.

I am restoring a 1988 Mustang LX convertible and this brace has helped greatly with the cowl shake that is common on Fox body convertibles. Took about an hour to install from start to finish and looks great.

Peugeot 308 with 3-Cylinder engine sets new Fuel Economy Record. Sort of.

Tue, 18 Mar 2014

The new Peugeot 308 managed 99.1mpg in a fuel economy run in Spain Fuel economy records are a bit like official economy figures – they have little relevance in the real world. But that doesn’t stop car makers wanting a few headlines proving just how economical their cars can be, and that’s exactly what Peugeot has done with a fuel economy run in a new 308 fitted with their new 130bhp 1.2-liter PureTech three-cylinder turbo petrol engine. But instead of running the 308 in the real world, Peugeot chose to take their car off to the Almeria circuit in Spain – under the auspices of the UTAC (Union Technique de l’Automobile, Motocycle et Cycle) – to set a new record for fuel economy and distance driven on a full tank.

Euro NCAP Slams UK Safety Record

Fri, 11 May 2007

By Ben Whitworth Motor Industry 11 May 2007 10:50 Euro NCAP has panned UK car manufacturers after a dismal performance in its Electronic Stability Control survey. Figures released today by the automotive safety organisation put the cars sold in the UK near the bottom of the table when it comes to fitting ESC as standard. While Denmark, Sweden and Germany topped the list, the UK ranked 20th out of the 25 countries surveyed, only just beating Ireland, Greece, Malta and the Netherlands.

Spyker B6 Concept teased for Geneva

Wed, 20 Feb 2013

Spyker is teasing the B6 Concept for the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, which is probably Spyker’s take on the Porsche 911. A couple of weeks ago we reported that Victor Muller has new plans for Spyker and would be turning up at the Geneva Motor Show in March with a new concept. Now, Spyker has revealed a teaser image for the Geneva Concept – the Spyker B6 (pictured above) – which we’re assuming is the Spyker take on the Porsche 911, probably built on a shorter version of the Aileron’s platform and powered by…who knows what?
