Aston Martin wants the Le Mans title
Tue, 27 Jan 2009Aston Martin will challenge for the overall Le Mans Champion in 2009 Aston Martin won the overall title in 1959 – 50 years ago with the DBR1 driven by Caroll Shelby – and are aiming to bring the title back to the UK with the new car, which is based on the 2008 Charouz Racing System Lola, and powered by the same V12 engine seen in the title winning DBR9s of the last two years. The car will carry the famous Gulf Oil colours, and is being funded in partnership with Lola, Michelin, Koni and BBS. And this is a good time to pick to challenge for the title.
The biggest James Bond car exhibition…in the world!
Sun, 14 Aug 2011James Bond Car Exhibition 2012 Nothing has defined the James Bond franchise – the film franchise, that is – in quite the same way as its cars. So what better way than to have the biggest James Bond car exhibition – in the world – to celebrate fifty years of James Bond films? That’s exactly what is being planned by the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu and EON Productions (they of the James Bond films), who plan to exhibit more James Bond cars in one place than ever before – and for the whole of 2012.
New Honda Civic Black Edition launches
Tue, 08 Jul 2014New Honda Civic Black Edition launches The Honda Civic in normal guise – as opposed to the Type R – might not be the most inspiring car on the market, but it offers a convincing package nonetheless of great quality and decent looks and, in the latest Civic, better ride and better handling. As a Ford Focus and VW Golf competitor, the Civic perhaps suffers from a slightly boring image, which would explain why Honda has launched the Civic Black Edition with a meaner look to entice buyers who want a Civic that looks a bit less an older generation car. There are no power upgrades, suspension tweaks or promise of more dynamism from the Civic Black Edition, but it does get exterior gloss black elements and black side skirts and rear bumper, together with gloss black roof spoiler, integrated covers for the door mirrors and a gloss black fuel filler lid.
