This baby has been awesome for me. I bought this 1989 from my granddad who is a mechanic and took amazing care of her. The transmission was rebuilt about 36,000 miles ago and the motor has about 230,000 miles. Still runs like a top but has a very slight oil leak due to her age. Four new electric speed records for the UK
Thu, 17 Oct 2013Lord Paul Drayson has set a new World Electric Land Speed record for sub-999kg electric vehicles with an average speed of 205.139mph over the flying mile. This represents a modest 1mph increase over the previous record – which Drayson set last year in the same Drayson Racing Technologies all-electric prototype. But the ‘Lord of Speed’ (as we’ve just dubbed him) also broke four other records in the process.

Chief among the changes are a new look for the car's nose, the choice of Ford's downsized 1.0-litre Ecoboost engine, and even more technology on board. The new Fiesta will make its debut on Ford's Paris motor show stand in September 2012, and will trickle through to UK showrooms shortly after.
