Hummer sale agreed

Tue, 02 Jun 2009

GM has a Memorandum of Understanding in place to sell Hummer to a 'Mystery' buyer GM are reporting that they have reached a ‘Memorandum of Understanding’  with an unnamed buyer to take Hummer of their hands later in the year. MOUs are not the strongest tool in the arsenal when a sale is being arranged, which tends to indicate that either the buyer likes the idea but won’t commit yet, or they are still in ‘Fund-Raising’ mode. Vauxhall Insignia facelift revealed for 2014

Wed, 12 Jun 2013

The Vauxhall Insignia gets a facelift for 2014 with new engines and lower prices The Vauxhall Insignia is a more than decent car – and a big improvement on the Vectra that went before – but it’s now almost five years old so it’s time for a bit of a facelift. Vauxhall has revealed the updated Insignia for 2014 that gets a decent raft of changes, both cosmetically and under the skin, to make it better to live with and more economical. Sensibly, Vauxhall has cut the bewildering range of Insignia trim levels from 14 to eight (do they need even that many?), with Design Trim at the bottom and Elite trim at the top, and the new Insignia Design starting at £16,279 – £3500 less than the old Insignia ES.

New VW Golf GTD to cost just £199 a month. Sort of.

Fri, 02 Aug 2013

The VW Golf GTD (pictured) can be had for £199 a month – if you’ve got a big deposit There’s no question that car buyers are getting themselves in to new cars at affordable money thanks to the range of finance packages on offer now, including leases, PCP and contract hire. That’s good for car makers, dealers and the car buying public as it leads to more sales and more people driving modern, reliable and efficient cars. But the headline price is not always as clear cut as it seems.
