McLaren 12C Spider Neiman Marcus Edition. Christmas is coming.

This year’s special Christmas car from Neiman Marcus is a special edition of the McLaren 12C Spider with lunch with Ron Dennis thrown in. Last year Neiman Marcus offered the Ferrari FF but this year it’s the turn of the Brits again (the Neiman Marcus Christmas car was the Jaguar XJ in 2009) with the new McLaren 12C Spider, the convertible version of the MP4-12C (which, it appears, McLaren now want us to call just the 12C). The Neiman Marcus 12C Spider is a bog standard car (not that there’s much ‘bog standard’ about 616bhp and a 0-62mph of just 3.1 seconds) in Volcano Red, but it does come with the prerequisite of a Neiman Marcus car by offering something money can’t easily buy (although it self evidently can) – dinner with Ron.

T%he Ford Mondeo 2011 - launched at Moscow Ford has revealed the 2011 Ford Mondeo this morning at the Moscow Motor Show, and although we’ve already told you much of what’s on offer it seems worthwhile recapping, plus we have some new photos and video of the 2011 Mondeo. As we said back in June when we had the first details of the 2011 Mondeo, Ford has given it a few cosmetic tweaks to freshen it up and had a serious play with the oily bits. On the cosmetic front the new Mondeo gets ‘Kinetic-icized’ to keep its DNA in line with the rest of the Ford range.

Geneva 2014 debut for Vauxhall Astra VXR Extreme concept

Vauxhall will unveil its fastest Astra model ever at this year’s 2014 Geneva Motor Show when it pulls the covers off its Astra VXR Extreme concept car. According to the British firm, the Extreme will be even more powerful than the standard Astra VXR, boasting lightweight components that make the race track “the car’s natural environment.” On Bing: see pictures of the Vauxhall Astra VXR Find out how much a used Vauxhall Astra VXR costs on Auto Trader The first image of the vehicle shows a low, aggressive looking car featuring revised aerodynamics – including that massive rear wing – and a new dual-twin tailpipe setup.
