Product Description

MSD Tach Adapter
The MSD distributorless ignition tachometer adapter allows you to install an aftermarket tachometer on vehicles with no distributor and multiple coil packs. The compact tach driver measures only 1.5"x 3.5"x 2" and is potted with a polyurethane compound for vibration and water protection so it can easily be mounted under the hood. It wires inline on the coils' 12 volt supply wire where it senses the current going through this wire and converts this information into a 12 volt output signal that most aftermarket tachometers use as a trigger signal. It can be used on 4, 6 or 8-cylinder engines. However, this unit will not work with GM LS-1 ignition systems.

Application
- Fits 1996-2016 Ford Mustangs
- Fits 1999-2004 Ford Lightnings

Record expected for Auto Union sale

Wed, 07 Feb 2007

By James Mullan Motor Industry 07 February 2007 09:21 A rare 1939 Auto Union Type D grand prix car is tipped to tear up the record books this month when it goes under the hammer – for an estimated price of up to £7.8 million. Auto Union developed the Type D racing car with a mid-mounted 3.0-litre 12-cylinder engine; in 1939, it was modified with the addition of a twin supercharger, increasing power 420bhp to 460bhp – enough for a top speed of 205mph. This particular car won the French and Yugoslavian Grand Prix in 1939, but at the end of the Second World War it was transported from East Germany to the former Soviet Union by Russian occupation forces as spoils of war.

José Mourinho gets the first Jaguar F-Type Coupe You would be forgiven for thinking the Jaguar F-Type Coupe is already roaming the roads in the hands of customers, such has been its profile in recent months, but you’d be wrong. However, Jaguar has now started serial production of the F-Type Coupe and the first man in line for a nice, shiny F-Type Coupe is José Mourinho, as we reported a couple of months ago. The ‘Special One’ was presented with his new car – in Stratus Grey with 20-inch Gyrodyne Black and Diamond Turned Wheels, Red Brake Calipers, Panoramic Glass Roof and Meridian Sound – by two of the F-Type manufacturing team from Castle Bromwich - Gary Johnson and Steven Gaut – at an event in London.

The online configurator for the new Jaguar F-Type is now live. Our Jaguar F-Type V8 S ended up costing £91,440. The F-Type configurator is a decent effort with just about everything speccable – and viewable as you spec it up – from colours and wheels to active exhaust and flat bottomed steering wheel.
