2011 Mercedes C-Class Facelift leak
Mon, 08 Nov 2010Is this the 2011 Mercedes C-Class Facelift? The current Mercedes C-Class is due a facelift in 2011 and we’re expecting the revamped Mercedes to put in its debut appearance at the Detroit Motor Show in January. But it looks like a bit of Mercedes’ thunder may have been stolen if the photo above is a genuine leak.
The Detroit motor show 2010 review, by Gavin Green
Tue, 12 Jan 2010Motown may not have rediscovered its mojo but at least the car makers formerly known as the Big Three have regained a little bit of their old swagger since the misery of last year’s Detroit show. After all, it’s not every year that two out of three national car makers go bankrupt. The survivor, Ford, unsurprisingly looked the most confident at this year’s show, never mind that its star car was about as hometown as Bauhaus and bratwurst.
BMW 1-series M Coupe (2011) teaser video
Tue, 31 Aug 2010BMW is continuing to build up the hype ahead of the launch of its next M car – this is a teaser video giving us our first glimpse of the undisguised BMW 1-series M Coupe What’s new is our first look at this hot 1-series’ butch bodykit, complete with an engorged front bumper and triple air intakes. There are CSL-alike 19-inch wheels too, and sitting between the cross-drilled front discs is a twin-turbo 3.0-litre straight-six, producing 335bhp and 369lb ft. Drive, thankfully, goes to just the rear wheels, and they’ll be a choice of either a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. There’ll be an M diff too, but we hear it might be on the options list as BMW’s money men fight to keep the list price under £40k.
