Jaguar plots new flagship coupe as XK bows out (2014)
Mon, 10 Mar 2014By Ollie Kew and Georg Kacher Motor Industry 10 March 2014 15:00 Jaguar has announced that the XK will cease production in summer 2014. The Ian Callum-penned coupe and convertible models, which have jointly sold more than 54,000 units since arriving in 2006, have been canned with no direct replacement in the pipeline. Instead, Jaguar is plotting a stunning £110,000 flagship to rival the Aston Martin DB9 and Bentley Continental GT.
First Jaguar F-Type customer cars leave Jaguar’s Castle Bromwich
Fri, 10 May 2013The first proper sports car from Jaguar since the E-Type ended production almost 40 years ago (and it could be argued the later V12 E-Types were more a GT than a proper sports car), the F-Type is a hook to hang Jaguar’s future intent on – and it seems to be making a pretty good fist of it. It may not be cheap (you’ll pay £80k for a V8 F-Type) and it may be heavier than its lightweight aluminium underpinnings promise, but it looks great, goes very well and seems to have proper Jaguar ‘Soul’. A winning combination.
Smart Forfour (2015): first official photos
Wed, 16 Jul 2014By James Clark First Official Pictures 16 July 2014 19:30 The Smart ForFour is back - and this time it's twinned with the new, rear-engined Smart ForTwo rather than a bitsa Mitsubishi. The second-generation Smart ForFour was unveiled at an event in Berlin tonight, and marks the return of Daimler to the affordable family hatchback segment. With weak sales and an indistinct DNA, the first Smart ForFour was a sales flop and lasted only a couple of years.
