Peugeot SXC crossover concept Shanghai debut
Thu, 14 Apr 2011The very sexy Peugeot SXC Concept It brings home how important – actually, crucial – the car market in China has become when you learn that car makers are building cars specifically for the Chinese market. Just last week we reported BMW, in collaboration with its Chinese partner Brilliance, has taken the already ‘Made for China’ LWB BMW 5-Series and turned it in to a 5-Series plug-in hybrid. Volkswagen Passat Alltrack: The VW Allroad arrives
Wed, 23 Nov 2011The VW Passat Alltrack - debuts in Tokyo Volkswagen has jumped on to the Allroad bandwagon with its own take on Audi’s faux off-roader, with the reveal of the 2012 VW Passat Alltrack. But when you don’t need the 4WD, around 90 poer cent of the drive is through the front wheels – saving fuel – with the rear wheel drive only coming in to play when you start to slip and slide.
BMW are rolling out their ‘BMW Genius’ programme across UK dealers

That should be a job for the car salesman, but most car salesmen only worry about explaining how good the deal is and how it’s better than any other deal, so buyers often come away with a car that doesn’t fit their needs as well as it could. But with fewer new car buyers really wrapped up in performance and dynamics and more interested in the tech behind the wheels, BMW has been trying out an idea borrowed from Apple Stores by employing ’BMW Geniuses’ at 10 of their UK dealerships to explain the advantages of much of their technology to customers.
