3M™ Vinyl Tape 471+ Indigo, vinyl backing with a rubber adhesive, maintain color even when exposed to heavy abrasion. 3M™ Vinyl Tape 471+, 06405 offers good solvent resistance for application protection and longer product life. The tape's conformability and dead stretch properties are ideal for taping, wrapping or sealing many curved, convex, or irregular surfaces. The rubber adhesive provides good adhesion to many surfaces for easier application and excellent holding strength. The tape delivers clean removal from many surfaces which helps reduce clean-up and labor costs. Compatible with waterborne paints. 1/4 inch width (6.4 mm).

Ford Motor Co. is using a digital mannequin, customized to account for physical differences across regions, to determine how to make jobs less physically strenuous for its assembly-line workers. The digital worker avatar is based on Ford's virtual North American Jack and Jill workers.

Ford CEO Alan Mulally to deliver keynote address at CES

Ford is continuing to double-down on its Sync technology as a way to separate itself from competitors, and in that theme CEO Alan Mulally will again deliver a keynote address at the Consumer Electronics Show in January in Las Vegas. He's expected to unveil the next round of Ford's Sync features at the show, which is a bellwether event for the technology industry. He also spoke at last year's show, and former GM CEO Rick Wagoner addressed it in 2008 as part of efforts by auto execs to showcase new innovations in their cars.
