The new SEAT Leon SC – the 3-door sibling to the Leon – has been revealed ahead of a debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March. The new SEAT Leon SC is actually a different car from the windscreen on back, with a more steeply raked front and back screens, just the two (longer) and a shorter wheelbase – by 35mm. So although at first glance the Leon SC looks like it’s just lost a pair of doors, the job is more thorough.

Jay Leno – petrol-head extraordinaire – is this weeks’ Top Gear Star in a Reasonably Priced Car Jay Leno, probably best known for his US chat show (retrd.) – and his hosting of the launch of the new Jaguar XJ – is the personification of the wealthy, true petrol-head. Tyre-related deaths show slight fall

FIGURES released today have revealed a slight fall in the number of deaths and serious injuries caused by dangerous tyres. The 2012 figure of 194 ‘killed of seriously injured’ (KSI) incidents represents a 5% fall from 2011, and includes a drop in fatalities of three, from 28 to 25. Serious injuries fell from 177 to 169.
