Gordon Murray Design's eight new models revealed

Seven are lightweight, low-emissions cars based on his radical new iStream manufacturing technique, and the last is a new supercar that he says will have 'an enormous amount in common' with his iconic McLaren F1.You read CAR's first full appraisal of the T25 in the new September 2010 issue of CAR Magzine, out on 18 August. Follow Coventry University students' grad projects on their Tumblr

We always aim to highlight as many college exhibitions as possible, but with so many graduating students each year, it's not surprising some are taking the promotion of their work into their own hands. The transportation and automotive design students at Coventry University have done just that by setting up a Tumblr highlighting the development of the final projects we'll see towards the end of May. The quality and variety of work looks very promising, especially considering they're some way from finished.

Exclusive: Frank Stephenson to become Design Director at McLaren

Thanks to our contacts in the automotive design community, we've become aware that Frank Stephenson, who until recently was Director of Design at Alfa Romeo, will be taking on a new role as Design Director at McLaren. "McLaren is pleased to confirm that Frank Stephenson will shortly join as Design Director," a company spokesperson told CDN, but would not reveal additional details. Stephenson was not prepared to comment.
