Siphon is a safe alternative to transferring dangerous fuels or messy liquids by other means.  The hose with the self priming pump eliminates the risk of drawing hazardous or nasty fluids into your mouth when getting the siphon process started.

A simple vigorous pumping action starts the siphon flow instead of sucking it out with your mouth or hands.  It does not need or should never be placed in the mouth.

1/2" Premium siphon has a flow rate of up to 3.5 Gallons per minute
This is our general use siphon and is the most requested size we sell

Connects to garden hose with 1/2" adapter (sold separately)

We also have the on/off adapters (sold separately)

This siphon is:

100% Pure, Lead-Free Copper pump with an industrial strength glass ball and stainless steel spring.
High Quality 100% Virgin Grade Tubing.

Rated very good for fuel.

FDA sanctioned as food grade.

We also have these USA Made Siphons in 3/8" and 3/4".

German Parts Pillagers Roam the American Southwest, Sending Treasures Home For Future Car Museum

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

Quite a few older European cars are purchased in rust-free parts of the United States and then shipped back to the home continent, and this process tends to intensify when the Euro gets stronger versus the dollar. While that's going on, crews of European gearheads also roam the wrecking yards of the Southwest, filling shipping containers with parts to ship back home; I know of a trio of Swedes who come to Colorado every year and ship home tons of parts, but they've got nothing on this pair of Germans. These gentlemen fly to the United States four times each year, spending two or three weeks each trip, and send home cars and shipping containers packed with parts, all as part of a scheme to open up a car collection showcasing "cars from the road." They were kind enough to send me a bunch of photos of their most recent trip, so let's see what their enviable lifestyle looks like.

Hyundai HND-9 Concept at Seoul Motor Show

Thu, 21 Mar 2013

The Hyundai HND-9 is a concept coupe from Hyundai, heading for the Seoul Motor Show at the end of March, and probably previews the next Genesis Coupe. The Hyundai HND-9 is, according to Hyundai, the ‘Latest luxury sports coupe’, which we assume means the HND-9 is pointing at the next generation Genesis Coupe, a car we don’t (yet) get in the UK. The HND-9 gets an evolution of Hyundai’s fluidic design (although, unlike the latest Santa Fe where Hyundai decided the new design was called ‘Storm’, the HND-9′s design doesn’t get a name) which Hyundai say is a modern reinterpretation of an elegant classic premium sports coupe.

One Lap of the Web: Mini challenges Porsche; kit cars; and brand loyalty

Fri, 07 Jun 2013

We spend a lot of time on the Internet -- pretty much whenever we're not driving, writing about or working on cars. Since there's more out there than we'd ever be able to cover, here's our daily digest of car stuff on the Web you may not otherwise have heard about. Mini wished the Porsche 911 a happy 50th anniversary.
