Offered without reserve is a pair of bumper guards from an estate. When I first got these parts I did not know what they were for and it took me quite a bit of time to figure them out. I was searching for "lights" because they have driving lights mounted in them, I finally stumbled on a Google picture of a stunning 1955 Thunderbird and saw that the guards were a match. These are in very nice original condition but the inner cone piece's were replaced with light bulbs as shown. The guard on the left in my pictures below has the best looking chrome of the two, it has the longer slant on the left side of the back so I suspect that it would be the driver side guard but I am not sure. The guard on the right in my pictures below has been polished more through the years and has some "faded" worn chrome areas as shown and the front curved edge has a "flat spot" where it has rubbed or bumped into something but it still looks very nice overall. I think that these are the front guards because the backs have upper and lower mounting tabs for the cones but I am not positive that these are for the front, but if you are looking at this auction I think you will know where they fit. I also must add that I am a bit envious at you!, I absolutely LOVE the style of these Thunderbird's and think that they are awesome cars to behold! , hopefully someone can put these guards to good use..........................No Reserve!, have fun bidding!.................. Government driving down electric avenue

Mon, 21 Jul 2014

THE GOVERNMENT is to lead by example by buying more than 150 electric and plug-in hybrid cars for its fleets. All fleet managers will have funding allocated with a view to buying ultra-low-emission vehicles (ULEVs) to replace older vehicles as part of the their normal working life cycle. According to Westminster sources, a long-term plan is in place to make such cars and vans entirely commonplace.

Lincoln shoots for a happier ending after troubled MKZ launch

Fri, 03 May 2013

How far off track did the launch of the redesigned Lincoln MKZ get? The car, whose chassis bears the burden of a once-thriving luxury brand now trying to prove it's still relevant -- originally was supposed to start arriving at dealerships last fall, around the same time Steven Spielberg's movie Lincoln was hitting theaters around the country. But by the time many customers who had ordered an MKZ actually got their cars, Lincoln already was out on DVD.

Jaguar Lightweight E-type – the 1960s icon reimagined for 2014

Tue, 12 Aug 2014

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 12 August 2014 00:01 Jaguar has come good on its promise to finish off the six unused E-type chassis numbers to make half a dozen very special sports cars. The new Jaguar Lightweight E-type, unveiled today in Pebble Beach, Monterey, is the result: a stunning retro classic reimagined in painstaking period detail for 2014. Built by Jaguar Land Rover’s new Special Operations division at a new facility in old Browns Lane, the Lightweight E-type is also a shot across the bows of specialists such as Eagle, who have been making hay creating modern-day E’s.
