This listing is for TWO Volvo Penta Aq170 short blocks. Fresh Water Units -- threaded passages are good. One has a cam - one doesn't. The one with the cam was a good running motor - till it lost a cam lobe, and wasn't run after that incident; that block is turning over good, cylinder walls are good, minimal to no ridge, std bore. The second motor was also a good motor, I have actually had it in the garage a couple years thinking I might have a use - I sold the cam out of it (someone needed it); that motor turns over good, cylinder walls are good, minimal ridge - std bore. They come as pictured. Shipping on these is Freight - contact for quote - most likely $140ish west of Mississippi - $230ish east. I won't charge for palletizing - just want to cover actual shipping. Pininfarina design celebrated in London exhibition
Mon, 11 Jun 2012The work of Italian design house Pininfarina will be celebrated in a dedicated exhibition as part of the International Architecture and Design Showcase, set to take place during the 2012 London Olympics. From 22 June to 15 July the ‘Pininfarina in London' exhibition will display the most prestigious products made in Italy including a Ferrari FF and a Maserati GranTurismo during the inauguration. Four sculptures in cedar wood – made by Riva 1920 – represent four Pininfarina design icons: the Cisitalia of 1947, the Dino of 1967, the Birdcage 75th of 2005 and the Cambiano, the concept car launched by Pininfarina in Geneva this year.

But also heading for Geneva is a more lowly XF that might not grab the headlines but will probably do more for Jaguar’s bottom line than the XFR-S – the new Jaguar XF R-Sport. Available as an XF saloon or XF Sportbrake, the XF R-Sport is Jaguar’s take on stuff like BMW M Sport and Mercedes AMG Line (but without any power or suspension tweaks) and is aimed at owners and drivers who want the sporty looks of cars like the XFR but want it powered by something more prosaic.
Galpin Auto Sports Reveals 1000-hp GTR1
Fri, 16 Aug 2013As you read this, Beau Boeckmann of Galpin Auto Sports should be pulling the cover off the GTR1, a 1000-hp supercar based on the Ford GT. Right about now the 3000 guests of The Quail should be oohing and ahhing at the car's Aston Martin “lightning silver” paint and subtly muscled haunches, probably hearing about how G.A.S. swapped out the supercharger on the 5.4-liter V8 and replaced it with twin 61-mm turbochargers making almost double the horsepower of the stock car.
