Bentley's new boss confirms SUV back to drawing board

Bentley's new chairman and CEO, Dr Wolfgang Schreiber, confirmed today that the EXP 9F - the controversial SUV shown at the 2012 Geneva motor show - would be heavily redesigned before going on sale. CAR greeted the EXP 9F with the headline 'I'm a Bentley designer, get me out of here' in our Geneva show issue. Ford, Lawrence Tech offer design scholarships

In the Designing for the Future contest, Ford Motor Co. and Michigan's Lawrence Tech are challenging high school seniors to compete for more than $75,000 in scholarships to the school's transportation and industrial-design programs.

Opel and Auto Design and Styling magazine launch new sketch contest

Opel and Auto Design and Styling magazine have joined forces to launch the ‘Adam Seeks Eve' sketch competition. The competition, which is open to amateur and professional designers of all ages, asks participants to "sketch the ideal car partner for the Opel Adam." Designs can be a personalized Adam, a model inspired by it, or its next iteration. The winner will be awarded a free ticket to the AutoDesign Prague Automotive Design Conference and the AutoDesign Prague Workshop as well as being lent an Adam for a week.
